How to Wear Spring 2015 Fashion Trend: Bold Florals

[Last updated on August 6th, 2015]

As you can see, Spring/Summer 2015 fashion shows featured bold floral prints.

If you’re busy wrangling kids, trying to keep your head afloat juggling LIFE and aren’t a size 2 – you might wonder how to pull off this fashion trend. In an affordable way, of course. No fear. We’ve got you covered with these real life ideas to incorporate this feminine trend into your spring and summer wardrobe.

Target - Floral Dress

Choose a floral pattern that looks like a graphic pattern, not so flower-ish, in bright colors. Add a jacket or cardigan to ‘tone it down’ if you want to make a less than bold statement. $39.99 from Target.

Kohls - Jennifer Lopez Floral Crossover Maxi Dress

Go long! This floral pattern is more abstract – much like a watercolor painting. Jennifer Lopez Floral Crossover Maxi Dress, $80 Kohl’s (available in 1X and 2X).

Floral Tunic - Target

A blouse or tunic is one of the easiest ways to add a bold floral pattern to your summer wardrobe. Pair with white jeans or capris. $19.99 at Target.

Lands End - Floral Pants

Floral Chino Crop Pants, Lands’ End for $69, sizes 2-18. ‘Nuff said.

Floral Skirt - ASOS

Top with a tank top, t-shirt or blouse. Wear with flats or strappy heels. Either way, this floral skirt can go from office to farmer’s market in style. $35, ASOS. Sizes 2-10.

Floral Tote Bag - Bloomingdales

Okay. Wearing floral may not be your thing. You might opt for this Ted Baker tote bag ($60 Bloomingdale’s)  instead.

Sperry Top Sider 2 Bongo - Sears Sperry Top Sider

And who doesn’t need an excuse, er we mean, reason to buy a new pair of shoes?? From left to right – Sperry Top Sider, Bongo peep-toe pump (Sears) and Sperry floral sneakers in Orange Hawaiian.

Go get your flower on.

I am excited for these prints. I love the tunic from target as well…might have to run there today! I really like the option of the floral dress for plus size–thanks for including that. My favorite—all the shoes- One of each please!! I am going to use this as inspiration to buy more florals this season. Thanks!

Floral print really is not my thing. But I will say, LOVE the floral heels!! Might have to indulge in a pair! Scrolling through the pictures, I’ve concluded that I also might need to buy a pair of a vibrant color flats.

Thanks for THINKING/writing about Spring. It has to be almost here!

I think prints overwhelm my small frame so I tend to be a solid neutrals + pop of bright and/or interesting accessory kind of girl. But the bag and the shoes would definitely put some spring in my step right about now – or a floral print scarf? Or now that you’ve got me thinking about it, a couple of nice springy little floral couch cushions? Not that I would wear those…
