Let’s take a moment and appreciate the beautiful necessity, the powerful sidekick, the life-altering substance that is coffee. A lá Lorelai Gilmore, there is really no time of day that isn’t perfect for coffee. So when I heard there was going to be a whole day devoted to the celebration of the world’s most perfect drink, I couldn’t have been more delighted.
September 29 is National Coffee Day, and that’s a day I can totally get behind. And, let me tell you, there are some absolutely amazing places to get a delicious cup of joe in the Capital region right where I consider myself lucky to live.

A little history lesson to go with our favorite beverage: coffee didn’t become popular in the US until the Boston Tea Party of 1773. This event inspired Americans to drink coffee over tea. So drink up! It’s your patriotic duty!
